Maguire was exceptional against the Blades in the heart of the Red Devils' defence, as Ten Hag's side pulled off a narrow 2-1 win. The centre-back has returned to the team in recent weeks, playing back-to-back Premier League games, first against Brentford and then Sheffield United.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Maguire enjoyed a sterling outing at Bramall Lane; no player won more aerial duels (5), or touched the ball on more occasions (106). Ten Hag was delighted with the England international's performance, as it came after questions were asked over Maguire's inclusion in Gareth Southgate's England squad, and indeed in United's XI.
