THE BIGGER PICTURE
Marriott, though, believes that there is an "extra edge" to Wrexham's fixtures this season, as every other side in the competition is desperate to beat them. Thus far, nobody has managed to.

WHAT MARRIOTT SAID
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "I feel like there’s probably an extra edge when teams come up against us because you look at the owners, you look at the journey we’re on and people want to beat us. Wrexham are coming to town, we want to send them home packing – that’s what it seems like the mentality is when we play people. When they come to the Racecourse, it’s ‘let’s upset the party’, you see what I mean? That’s the sort of mindset that we’re coming across."

WHAT NEXT?
